Okay, this month I've abandoned my blog for quite a while and that's why this page doesn't seem to change since the last time I updated it, which was about two weeks ago. I had many ideas that have been popping in my head and by the time I was about to write them down, they were gone. There aren't so many things that I want to write for this blog post so I'll just continue with a standard type of essay. Okay I'll write things that have been happening for the last few days, or weeks. I'll write these things in no sequential manner.
There was the Canteen Music, an event that occurs regularly on Wednesday, taking place at my campus' canteen. This event has been running since last semester. But since June is already the month of holiday, the canteen has been less crowded and there has been less people who volunteered themselves to play music for that event.
Seeing this chance, Me and several friends of mine (Me - guitarist, Sonya - vocalist, Haido - percussion/vocalist) made a small group and called ourselves MICymphonia (lol, by the time I wrote "MICymphonia", the song I was hearing was titled "Symphony") and tried to play four songs: Beautiful (Round Table feat Nino), Flying Without Wings (Westlife), This I Promise You - NSync, and Hanya Kamu Yang Bisa - Tiket. It went well except for the horrible melody part of "This I Promise You" and the extremely tiring chords of "Beautiful". Imagine you have to play hanging m7 chords for a song which runs on a 2x90 beat non stop for three minutes (okay, you didn't imagine it, I know. but trust me it's hard).
Another event was the interview for the future PMB committees. It went well except for the fatigue that had been accumulating in my body since the night before: I had had a futsal sparring against people from Microsoft in Semanggi. They were also coders, they also looked geek, but hey, they really could play futsal and trust me they are pro. The game ended at about 11 pm so I had to spend the night at one of my friends' apartment (i really mean it, an apartment) to be back at the campus early in the morning.
The last week of June, at the 24th to be precise (wait, that's not really the last week, but never mind) was my father's golden birthday (1959-2009). For the present, me and my sisters gave him a photo frame complete with a close up picture of him in it. He's a really great father indeed.
Guess I've written quite a load of ideas, maybe this is the time that I stop writing and save my other ideas for the next entry. It's time to study Pumping Llama.
